Keep Your Pond Clear Of Algae all Summer long with This all Natural Barley!

This is the "BEST" way to use Natural Barley to Kill algae in your pond. This simply floats in your pond and as the Barley blend naturally breaks down, it will kill all algae blooms. Each Ball is filled with a blend of barley straw and naturally-occurring micro-organisms. Results are usually seen within two weeks, depending upon water temp, and amount of sun.

The best results are seen if the ball is located in an area that water moves across it, such as under an water fall , or a fountain. I recommend doing that rather than letting it float. Experiments have shown that to be the most effective in preventing algae bloom.

My Pond Ball is environmentally friendly, as the plastic material used is 99% less in volume and does the same job as the more expensive Clear plastic balls.

When the Barley is gone simply pull the remaining net out and toss it, the net weighs about 1/2 ounce! It measures at 9 inches across!

One ball will last from 4 to 6 months. Water temp and volume of water movement can raise or lower those figures! One ball treats a pond size of 3000 to 9000 Gallons. I have these in my 5 ponds, my own ponds are 29,000 gallons each.

As the straw decomposes in the water, byproducts are released creating a unique environment. The temperature of the water plays an important factor. If the water temp is below 40 degrees it may take up to 14 days for the straw to become active. When the water temperature is above 40 degrees the straw becomes active faster. In about 7days the straw should begin to release it's chemical, given sufficient sunlight and oxygen. Well oxygenated conditions are essential to ensure the straw will decompose and produce it's chemical. If the straw is in a compacted state with restricted water movement through the straw, the effectiveness is extremely reduced.

Barley straw should be added in spring/early summer.

It is best to apply when the water temp is low. Time should be given for the straw to become active. Once activated, the straw will create the unique environment for up to 6 months. A replacement bundle should be added before the first bundle is completely decomposed. Two applications should be enough for one year.
